Christmas (1 of 2)
Published 6th December 23
This is supposed to be the time for bringing people together,
For some of us, there is no warmth to feel & it’s not about the weather,
With friends & family that are no longer by our side,
We feel the loss of loved ones that makes us ungratified,
There are hearts that are lonely with nobody to share,
Or ones who’s favourite people have hurt us by an affair,
Our loved ones that we’ve been together for many years,
May have passed away, this time it brings us to tears,
Life can be hard when some have no money,
Those who can barely eat or have no home, it’s not funny,
If you see someone this Christmas that is in need of a smile,
Show your compassion & invite them in your home for a while,
This is not the time to ignore or hate,
Let your heart open before it’s too late,
I am here to tell you if you need a friend,
I’ll be here for you at Christmas, on that you can depend.
Christmas (2 of 2)
Published 18th December 23
For children it’s their favourite time of year,
This is why parents resort to beer,
It can be stressful when shopping around,
Looking for presents that can’t be found,
Getting hammered at the works parties,
And putting on weight with huge tubes of smarties,
With Christmas decorations put up months before,
By New Year’s Eve we can’t stand it anymore,
Perfume & food adverts repeatedly on the TV,
Wrapping paper everywhere, why do I always get sellotape stuck to me,
Overeating & drinking too much,
Fridge is full but we’re not allowed to touch,
Toys & games we’ll play with for a while,
To be forgotten about or lost & thrown in a pile,
This is the time it should be laughable,
Merry Christmas you filthy animal!!

Christmas Gratitude
Published 25th December 2023
This Christmas I would like to tell you all,
I’d like to to show gratitude no matter how big or small,
I’m grateful for the roof over my head,
And grateful for the food that has been fed,
I’m thankful for my health, the past few years hasn’t been fine,
There’s many loved ones who’ve passed away or some have not got much time,
I’m blessed to have good music which I hear everyday,
Whenever I’m feeling down, it can wash the blues away,
I appreciate my family I still have with me, and friends I have around,
Kind people that have shown themselves to be safe & to be sound,
I even thank those who’ve cut me out & don’t give a toss,
You had my full heart, I’m sorry for your loss,
I’d like to thank everyone from the bottom my heart,
That have shown me love this year, may we never part.

Ibiza Calls
Published 26th September '25
In 4 days the plane will rise,
Toward Balearic sunlit skies,
A band of friends with hearts that burn,
For beats and waves we long to earn,
Ibiza calls, her siren song,
Where nights are wild and days are long,
We’ll chase the dawn with spirits free,
Dancing beside the salt-blue sea,
Balearic Burger lights the way,
A tour of sound where we all sway,
From terrace bars to hidden bays,
We’ll lose ourselves for nights and days,
The rhythms pulse, the crowd’s alive,
It’s here we truly learn to thrive,
With laughter, music, drink in hand,
We’ll write new tales across the sand,
The DJs spin, the records glow,
Each drop ignites the hearts we know.
Our worries fade, our souls take flight,
Ibiza holds us through the night,
4 days to go, the countdown near,
The dream grows stronger year by year,
Together bound, this trip will show,
The Balearic beats forever flow.

Souls in the Sun

Published 13th October '25
We left the noise and stress behind,
To chase the heat and sea,
Four friends with open hearts and minds,
Just Deb, Clare, Sarah and me,
Through thundered skies the island called,
As rain blessed every street,
A sign, perhaps, of cleansing hearts
Before the beats would meet,
Then the air was soft, the sky was wide,
The salt hung on the breeze,
We played our songs, we laughed out loud,
And moved through days with ease,
Deb found her strength through trials past,
Her spirit fierce yet kind,
Claire's & Sarah's bright new spark joined heart to heart,
Ready, with our souls aligned,
We shared our food, our guilty tunes,
Quizzed & played music late at night,
The kind of fun that warms the heart,
And makes the world feel right,
We toasted Deb, her exam passed,
A curry, drinks, a cheer,
We laughed until our sides were sore,
And raised another beer,
We walked the coast past rocks and sand,
Where waves rolled calm and clear,
The sunlight danced across the bay,
And peace felt close, right here,
At Cafรฉ del Mar the sky burned gold,
We watched the daylight fade,
The talk, the music, sea, and smiles
Were memories gently made,
We swam, we sang, the days flew fast,
Each one a perfect run,
Four souls who came to heal a bit,
And left as one in sun.

Balearic Communion

Published 13th October '25
The Balearic Burger crew,
Had filled the isle with sound,
With friends and DJs, beats and love,
And warmth that spread around,
They danced through waves of rising heat,
The sea beyond in flame,
Each heartbeat wrote a wordless prayer,
All different, yet the same,
Lots of smiles spread through sound,
They gathered — tribe and kin,
Old friends and dreamers found their fire,
As bass rolled deep within,
From Rio’s decks to W.O.M.’s glow,
We danced beneath the stars,
The beats rolled through warm air,
And hearts forgot their scars,
At Aluna, lights and voices swayed,
The crowd began to flow,
Each track a wave that pulled us close,
Each face a friendly glow,
Then Itica, that sacred night,
Where sun and sound entwined,
As Song to the Siren crowned the dusk,
And time fell out of mind,
We danced till dawn, the tempo rose,
The sea breeze brushed our skin,
Each beat a prayer, each smile a spark,
That lit the fire within,
Two days later down at Bay Bar’s side,
We shared one final cheer,
With hugs and stories, tired eyes,
And hearts that felt sincere,
And flying home through skies of gold,
Each carried what was won,
A love, a light, a sacred tune,
That beats when day is done,
I left the isle still hearing tunes,
The laughter, sea, and drums,
Recharged, inspired, and full of peace,
Until next summer comes.
